Would I look like a poser?

So snowboarders/skaters wear clothes I like the look of and brand names like hurley, etc, and I ski, and I want to wear stuff like that because i hate preppy sh** and I was wondering if I would look like a poser because I don't skate or snowboard... I figured that skiing is maybe appropriate enough to wear that type of stuff?
