Why doesn't my windows movie maker have all the effects other people do?

There are two seperate movie makers, Windows live movie maker, and Windows movie maker. Live movie maker is the newer one with more functionality. If you are running windows xp you should have it, vista should have it but on windows 7 your out of look. if you still cant find it look what your dad's is named and look hard for it
