Why did wwe let go of elijah burke?

it seems like every time i start to like a wrestler with mive potential wwe lets them go...its shocking they haven't let Shelton go(seeing how i know he has tons of potential) this is why wwe makes me mad they get rid of talented wrestler in turn for people like Batista, jbl, cm punk(sorry cant stand him)..i mean Elijah Burke and the new school vs old school storyline ecw had was short lived and had plenty of potential...so who is upset they let ejijah go(long time ago, i know) and who do you wish the wwe would of held on to?
